Invitation Wonderfruit festival – 12-16 December 2024

A dance, a time spent together, is conjured against the (learnt) separability of an interiority and an exteriority. The alibi stands firmly; creating a space for escaping the habit of representing a continuous image, looking for ways to unmoor, to (literally) step out of a time-bound consciousness.

restshop #8

This worhshop is thought of as a space of collective studies, an atelier of collective practices, imagined around, through and next to, a library of books and texts relating to time and rest. This collection of exercises has been traveling through many locations and contexts of visibility, such as art festivals, art schools, artist run spaces, programs dedicated to the sharing of practices -although mostly if not only within the cultural scene of European cities. It has also wandered & stretched in various spaces of conviviality such as at private homes after parties, whatsapp life-long extended conversations (recently moved to signal), across lovers & feelings, but always  in the undergrowth of inherited practices.

Insomnia

There, nothing ever “happens”, this is not an event. This dance, haunted, erotic, a recessive miniature imagined in the shadow of festivals, research, lakes (of thoughts), acts of love, will be unfolding at dawn on the 15th of December at the Wonderfruit festival. Dances without thresholds will appear, like many earth tremors, welcoming the formation of lines and cracks along our folds.

To our endless nights!

Into the crystallized forest they move. The spikes and spears and sketches brush against their calves. cautiously they step and listen into the landscape. turning the boat in a slow spiral, they linger off of a fitness suit, one that contains their not crystallized-yet body. their mouth are full, a cascade of words, full of tongues not yet crystallized. the palpitations are perceptible under the translucent surface: we enter into an image that palpitates. it’s a heart. It’s very personal. It is I because there is no one else, but in this I there are many people.
